Kisatchie National Forest, designated so under President Herbert Hoover in 1930, in Louisiana, spans over 600,000 acres. Recreational activities in the national forest include hiking, fishing/hunting, biking, canoeing/boating, swimming, bird watching, and more, among 100 miles of trails. Not only a recreational area, the forest protects many examples of northern Louisiana landscapes, habitats, and plant and animal species. The most notable areas of the park are the Cunningham Brake (a large swamp) and the Saline Bayou (a combination of forest and wetlands). The park’s name stems from a tribe of Kichai Indians of the Caddoan Confederacy, who called themselves "Kitsatchie".
All coins come in protective plastic. Orders of 40 or more may ship in tubes.
