Selling made easy...
There are two options when selling to MintProducts.
Send us a list of inventory including date, type, condition, and quantity of each item you are looking to sell. This can be done via email, mail, or even phone if necessary. In this event, a Preliminary Offer will be made via email or phone. Upon acceptance, the Seller will ship their items to MintProducts for evaluation. Prices for precious metal items will be locked in when we receive the inventory. Post evaluation, a Buy Offer will be made via email or phone.
Ship us the inventory, bypassing a Preliminary Offer. Include a list of the package contents noting date, type, condition, and quantity, as well as seller contact information. Prices for precious metal items are locked in when we receive the inventory. Once a MintProducts Numismatist has evaluated your package, we will reach out to you via email or phone with a Buy Offer.
Preliminary Offers are typically made within 3-5 business days. Buy Offers are made within 3 business days if a Preliminary Offer was made, or 5 business days if the inventory was shipped directly to MintProducts.
The Details
Buy prices are based on wholesale market prices and the Metals Market spot pricing at the time the inventory is received. MintProducts does not list buy prices on our website. We will NOT lock in buy prices until the items have been inspected by a MintProducts Numismatist to ensure authenticity, quality, grade, and condition.
Public sale transactions typically occur via postal mail, phone, and/or email and not through our online store. We'll make Preliminary Offers to Sellers via phone or email based on information provided by the Seller, but no official Buy Offers can be extended or accepted until the inventory has been thoroughly inspected.
Once MintProducts receives a Sell List from a Seller, a Preliminary Offer will be made within 3-5 business days. Upon acceptance of the Preliminary Offer, the Seller can ship their inventory to MintProducts.com. Sellers are responsible for Shipping and Insurance on packages sent to MintProducts. Upon acceptance and inspection of the Seller’s inventory, MintProducts will contact the Seller with a Buy Offer; based on the Preliminary Offer, Metals Market spot pricing at time the package was accepted, Wholesale Pricing, and inspection of Seller’s inventory. Buy Offers can be accepted or rejected by the Seller.
If the Buy Offer is accepted by the Seller, a check in the agreed upon amount will be shipped via standard U.S. Postal Mail within 72 business hours. We will not expedite or overnight Buy Offer checks to Sellers. If the Buy Offer is rejected by the Seller, MintProducts will ship the Seller’s inventory back to the Seller with Shipping and Insurance included.
MintProducts makes no guarantees on Buy Prices or profitability of products purchased from MintProducts, regardless of when they were purchased.
Appraisals
MintProducts also offers appraisal services to our customers. These services are done as a paid service on location if the customer is local to New Hampshire or via Postal Mail if not local. Customers are not required to sell their inventory to MintProducts and will receive a copy of the appraisal. Please contact us via phone at 1-866-665-6468 for more information on appraisal rates and policies.
FAQ's About Selling To MintProducts
What type of inventory do you purchase?
If we sell it on our website, we're usually looking to purchase more! We also typically purchase all silver, gold, and platinum bullion. If you are looking to sell foreign or world coins, currency, and numismatic items not found on our website, we recommend contacting us first to gauge interest. We do not purchase recent foreign currency for exchange.
Can I get an offer before I ship my coins to you?
Yes. Send us a list of inventory including date, type, condition, and quantity of each item you are looking to sell. Lists can be sent via email, mail, or fax. If you only have a couple items to sell you may contact us via phone. Once a MintProducts Numismatist evaluates your inventory list, a Preliminary Offer will be made via email or phone, typically within 3-5 business days.
What happens once I accept a Preliminary Offer or Buy Offer?
Once a Preliminary Offer is accepted, the Seller can ship their inventory to MintProducts. When a Buy Offer is accepted, a check made out to the Seller in the agreed upon amount will be mailed via standard USPS Postal Mail within 72 business hours.
What happens if I decline a Preliminary Offer or Buy Offer?
If the Seller does not find the Preliminary Offer acceptable, the transaction has ended. If a Buy Offer is declined, the Seller's inventory will be sent back via USPS Postal Mail within 72 business hours. Preliminary Offers and Buy Offers can be negotiated, but we typically find customers find our initial offers more than acceptable!
Is there a minimum amount when selling to MintProducts?
Typically, there is no minimum, however, MintProducts will not purchase small lots of low value coins. For instance, if you have a handful of Wheat Cents, common circulated Quarters, Dimes, or Nickels found in circulation; or if you're looking to sell a few ounces of Silver Bullion.
Will you send me pre-paid packaging to send my inventory to MintProducts?
No. The Seller is responsible for all shipping and handling related to sending their inventory to MintProducts for evaluation or purchase. We will only pay for return shipping if the Seller declines the Buy Offer.
I accept MintProducts Buy Offer. Can the payment be wired to me?
Typically, no. However, exceptions can be made for exceptionally large transactions, in which a Bank Transfer Fee or Wire Fee may be deducted from the Buy Offer.
