COIN HIGHLIGHTS:

Commemorates the landing of the pilgrims at Plymouth rock.
The obverse shows the Mayflower and Pilgrim Governor William Bradford carrying his Bible.
The reverse features a depiction of the Mayflower, which was the ship that went off course and landed the pilgrims at Plymouth Rock.
Each coin is in Extremely Fine to About UNC condition.

To commemorate the landing of the pilgrims at Plymouth rock, Congress authorized these special half dollars on May 12th 1920. The obverse shows a portrait of Governor Bradford while the reverse features the Mayflower. The mintage of this commemorative was just 152,112 pieces, far less than today's issues!

This time I ordered the BU grade in addition to the XF I ordered earlier, noted above. It is a stunning BU coin, maybe even choice. Definitely worth the extra cost to get the BU coin. In the future I won't settle for second best, I will just order BU examples of MP's commemorative coins.

I puchased the XF-AU example but wasn't happy with the extremely dark toning. MP happily exchanged it for one I was pleased with. I got this coin in BU and I am very happy with it. The coin I received is in excellent condition with no toning, minimal contact marks and lots of luster. An excellent coin and well worth the upgrade.
