PRODUCT DETAILS:

1948-1963 35-Coin Complete Set of Franklin Silver Half Dollars - Nice Brilliant Uncirculated Condition

SET HIGHLIGHTS:

  • 35 coins from 1948-1963. Includes an example of every date and mint mark Franklin Half Dollar ever struck!
  • Grades will vary mostly from MS-60 to MS-64.
  • Each coin is composed of 90% Silver.
  • The set comes housed in a Dansco coin album.

The Franklin Half Dollar was quite popular and circulated widely, but its run was cut short after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the subsequent introduction of the Kennedy Half Dollar honoring the slain president.

As the price of silver rose in the 1960's and skyrocketed in the late 1970's, millions of these coins were melted for their silver value.
