1999 ushered in a new era for the United States Mint Set coin program. For the next 10 years, the mint would pay tribute to each state by honoring them with their own legal tender quarter! They would issue 5 states per year and produce them at both the Philadelphia and Denver Mints for the Mint Sets. Coins would be released in the same order with which the state joined the Union! 2008 would mark the end of the State Quarter program.

The State Quarters released in 2008 were:

  • Oklahoma
  • New Mexico
  • Arizona
  • Alaska
  • Hawaii

2007 also marked the beginning of the Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005. This piece of legislature stated that The United States Mint would strike a legal tender Dollar coin bearing the portrait of every President (four Presidents per year) beginning with our Nation's first President, George Washington! This program made its way up to President Ronald Reagan in 2016, the final President eligible at the time (the President must be deceased for him to be eligible).

The Presidential Dollars released in 2008 were:

  • James Monroe
  • John Quincy Adams
  • Andrew Jackson
  • Martin Van Buren
