The reverse design for 2024 features an obverse design retaining the central figure of the “Sacagawea” design first produced in 2000 with inscriptions “LIBERTY” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.” The reverse design honors the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924 and shows an eagle staff, an American Indian symbol of respect, honor, and patriotism, together with an American flag to represent the dual citizenship of Native Americans. Inscriptions include “United States of America,” “$1,” and “Indian Citizenship Act of 1924.
