PRODUCT DETAILS:

1999 Delaware State Quarter Coin - P or D Mint - (UNC) Brilliant Uncirculated

COIN HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Released on 1/4/1999. (First of the series)
  • The obverse shows a slightly modified version of the original Washington Quarter. The mint moved some of the wording previously found on the reverse to the obverse in order to make more room for the reverse design for each state. You'll find "United States of America," "In God We Trust," "Liberty," and "Quarter Dollar" all spelled out on the obverse of the quarter as well as the coin's mint mark.
  • The reverse of the Delaware State Quarter features an image of Caesar Rodney riding upon his horse. You'll also find the state's year of inception into the union, the coin's year of release and "E Pluribus Unum" all on the back of the state quarter.
  • Caesar Rodney was a famous historical figure in Delaware state history and is known for his bravery and heroics during the Revolutionary War.  He is perhaps best known for casting the deciding vote in favor of the resolution of independence and was a signing figure on the Declaration of Independence.  The image of Rodney riding upon his horse located on the reverse of the Delaware State Quarter is directly taken from a statue memorializing Rodney located at Rodney Square in Wilmington, Delaware.
  • The Delaware State Quarter was released in 1999 along with the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia and Connecticut State Quarters.
  • Sovereign coin minted at the U.S. Mint and backed by the United States government with a face value of $0.25.

Select either 'P' - Philadelphia Mint, or 'D' - Denver Mint from the drop-down options menu located above.

All coins come in protective plastic. Orders of 40 or more may ship in tubes.
