  • The 2021 reverse Type 1 design features a heraldic eagle with shield, an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left with the “W” mint mark reflecting it’s striking at the West Point Mint. 
  • The new design (Type 2) coin features a refreshed depiction of Weinman’s Liberty. For the “refreshed” redesign, the United States Mint returned to its original historical assets to render a closer reflection of Weinman’s original vision and detail.
  • The 2021 reverse Type 2 design features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add it to a nest. with the “S” mint mark reflecting its striking at the San Francisco Mint.
