2021-S 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coin - Type 2 - Gem Proof Condition - w/ Box and COA

COIN HIGHLIGHTS:

• First issue of the American Proof Silver Eagle with the newly designed reverse minted in San Francisco. This is one of the lowest mintage proof Silver Eagle in U.S. Mint history with a planned production of only 200,000, making it more scarce than the 2021-W Type 1 and Type 2 along with the 1994 Proof Silver Eagle.  
• Contains 1 oz of .999 fine Silver.
• All coins come in original mint capsules, with its box and certificate of authenticity. 
• The obverse features Adolph Weinman's famous Walking Liberty Design first used on the 1916-47 Half Dollar. Also shown are the words "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the coin's date. 
• The new reverse (tails) design features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add it to a nest. Inscriptions are "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR." 
• Sovereign coin backed by the United States government with a face value of $1.00 (USD).

In 1986, the United States Mint began the American Eagle program.
