The Morgan Silver Dollar is the world's most popular Silver Dollar. They are cherished by both investors and collectors alike not just for their historical appeal, but also because so many were minted over the years and entered into circulation, that those years with lower mintages or higher graded specimens can be very valuable!
Struck at the Carson City, Nevada mint from 1878-1893, "CC" Morgan Silver Dollars have long been held in high regard with collectors who appreciate the coin's western heritage. After being lost in the vaults of the U.S. treasury for some 80 years, these coins came to light and were offered to an eager public by the General Services Administration (GSA) in 1973.
