COIN HIGHLIGHTS:

  • The obverse shows a slightly modified version of the original Washington Quarter. The mint moved some of the wording previously found on the reverse to the obverse in order to make more room for the reverse design for each state. • The reverse features Soldiers from the United States Armed Forces arriving at Asan Bay to help Guam in its war efforts. Asan Bay Overlook is one of the popular sites within the park. Inscriptions on the coin include "War in the Pacific," "Guam," "2019," and "E Pluribus Unum."
  • The 5 National Parks Released in 2019:  Lowell National Historical Park in Massachusetts, American Memorial Park in the Northern Mariana Islands, War in the Pacific National Historical Park in Guam, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park in Texas, and Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in Idaho.
