COIN HIGHLIGHTS:

• The obverse shows inscriptions including 2 Pounds, Elizabeth II, and D.G. Reg. F.D. along with the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.  This is one of the final British coins featuring the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.  
• The reverse features a depiction of King Arthur shown with his crown and cape as he wields Excalibur, the infamous sword that served as the source of Arthur’s power. 
• Sovereign coin backed by the British government with a face value of £2 (2 Pounds). Struck in .999 fine Silver.

In 2021, the first installment of the Myths and Legend Series coins came with depictions of figures from the tale of Robin Hood. The so-called Prince of Thieves, Robin Hood lived in Sherwood Forest with his band of merry men and fought to protect the poorest Britons from the excesses of the Crown.
