PRODUCT DETAILS:

2016 Theodore Roosevelt Quarter Coin - S Mint - (UNC) Brilliant Uncirculated

COIN HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Released on 8/29/2016.
  • The obverse shows a slightly modified version of the original Washington Quarter. The mint moved some of the wording previously found on the reverse to the obverse in order to make more room for the reverse design for each state. You'll find "United States of America," "In God We Trust," "Liberty," and "Quarter Dollar" all spelled out on the obverse of the quarter as well as the coin's mint mark.
  • The reverse of the coin depicts a young Theodore Roosevelt on horseback looking out over the Little Missouri River.
  • The 5 National Parks Released in 2016 were Shawnee National Forest in Illinois, Cumberland Gap National Historical Park in Kentucky, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park in West Virginia, Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota and Fort Moultrie (Fort Sumter) National Monument in South Carolina.
  • Sovereign coins minted at the San Francisco Branch of the U.S. Mint and backed by the United States government, each with a face value of $0.25. The America the Beautiful Quarter Program began in 2010, but Uncirculated Quarters were not minted at San Francisco until 2012.

Roosevelt National Park has several historical sites including Maltese Cross Cabin (Roosevelt's first ranch home) and Long X Trail, which was used to move cattle into the Northern Great Plains. It is in the west side of the state and founded in part to memorialize Roosevelt's role in conservation ethics.

All coins come in protective plastic. Orders of 40 or more may ship in tubes.

  • Good condition, received in 12 days after ordering.
  • Purchased a P&D. Mint Products offers a reasonable fee for their National Park coins if you did not know. Stop searching if you are collecting and try Mint Products, shipping is now more than I will like to pay but still less than other sites.
  • A beautiful BU coin, as always!
  • Nice!
