2014-P 5 oz Burnished Everglades ATB Silver Coin

COIN HIGHLIGHTS:

  • The coin comes encapsulated inside of it's government issued packaging, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. 
  • The obverse shows a portrait of George Washington. You'll find "United States of America," "In God We Trust," "Liberty," and "Quarter Dollar" all spelled out on the obverse of the coin as well as the 'P' mint mark. 
  • The reverse of the coin depicts two birds that live in the park - an anhinga with outstretched wings perched on a tree as well as a roseate spoonbill. You'll also find the motto "E Pluribus Unum" on the reverse of the coin, its year of release, as well as the name of the park and the name of the state in which it resides.

The Everglades National Park in Florida was established in May of 1934 and expands over 1,500,000 acres. It is home to hundreds of species of birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles including endangered and threatened species such as the American crocodile, the Florida panther, and the West Indian manatee. It is one of three locations in the world that can be found on the International Biosphere Reserve, World Heritage Site, and Wetland of International Importance lists.
