PRODUCT DETAILS:

2013 White Mountain Quarter Coin - S Mint - (UNC) Brilliant Uncirculated

COIN HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Released on 1/28/2013.
  • The obverse shows a slightly modified version of the original Washington Quarter. The mint moved some of the wording previously found on the reverse to the obverse in order to make more room for the reverse design for each state. You'll find "United States of America," "In God We Trust," "Liberty," and "Quarter Dollar" all spelled out on the obverse of the quarter as well as the coin's mint mark.
  • The reverse of the coin features Mt. Chocorua, the easternmost peak in the Sandwich Mountain Range. The image is surrounded by birch trees.
  • The 5 National Parks Released in 2013 were White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire, Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial in Ohio, Great Basin National Park in Nevada, Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Maryland, and Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota.
  • Sovereign coins minted at the San Francisco Branch of the U.S. Mint and backed by the United States government, each with a face value of $0.25. The America the Beautiful Quarter Program began in 2010, but Uncirculated Quarters were not minted at San Francisco until 2012.

The 2013 White Mountain quarter does not feature Mount Washington on the reverse, but Mount Chocorua, framed by some birch trees instead. Mount Chocorua, with an elevation of 3,475 feet, is the easternmost peak of the Sandwich Range and is one of the most climbed and picturesque mountains in the White Mountain National Park.

All coins come in protective plastic. Orders of 40 or more may ship in tubes.
