President Theodore Roosevelt was the 26th President of the United States from 1901-1909. He became President at the age of 43 following the assassination of President William McKinley. Roosevelt was born in New York in 1858 and was home schooled until he attended Harvard University to study biology. He served during the Spanish-American War as was lieutenant colonel of the Rough Riders Regiment. His political career includes, New York City representative for the New York State Assembly, captain of the National Guard, minority leader of the New York Assembly, Civil Service Commissioner, New York City Police Commissioner, US Navy Assistant Secretary, and Governor of New York. During his presidency, President Roosevelt encouraged American sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens to create a new design for the Double Eagle $20 Gold Coin based upon their mutual admiration for high-relief style coins of Ancient Greece. Roosevelt took a break during the middle of his political career to become a cowboy and cattle rancher for about 2 years in the mid-1880's. He died in 1919.

  • Another nice coin. No scratches or dings, and dents. Highly recommend.
  • Nice coin that met all expectations.
  • Very good. Great coin, a few nicks and scrapes. Good condition overall.
  • I have been getting 5 each of the P and D dollars from a few different sources since the series first started in 2007. The 10 Roosevelts that I just received have with out a doubt the the fewest blemishes of any other set of ten coins I have received previously. As long as the quality remains this high I will continue using Mint Products as my source.

Also, the turn around was quick, 6 days from order to receipt and the packaging was first rate.
  • As always, received gem P & D coins.
