COIN HIGHLIGHTS:

• The obverse shows one of the park's many geysers and includes the inscriptions "In God We Trust," "Yellowstone," "Liberty" and the coin's date (1999).
• The reverse features an adaptation of the seal for the Department of the Interior. It shows an American Bison standing in front of the sun and it's rays, shown peaking over a mountaintop. Words on the reverse include "United States of America," E Pluribus Unum" and "One Dollar".
• Sovereign coin backed by the United States government with a face value of $1.00 (USD).
