• The obverse shows an image of Paul Kruger, who was South Africa’s first president, along with “South Africa” in both Afrikaans and English.
• The reverse features a Springbok antelope, which is the national animal of South Africa, along with the year of minting (2024), face value (1 Rand) and Silver weight (1oz).
• Carries a face value of 1 Rand and is fully backed by the South African Mint.

This is the fifth year of issue of the South African Mint's Brilliant Uncirculated Silver Krugerrand! Krugerrands have been minted in Gold by the South African Mint ever since 1967. To celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2017, they introduced several special versions of the coin geared towards collectors, including "Premium BU" Silver coins, Silver proof coins and Platinum coins. Each of these were firsts for the Krugerrand, as up until 2017 this popular design had only been featured on Gold coins. In 2018, they released a silver bullion issue, which was also a first in the series and became widely popular, they are continuing series with this 2024 release.
